What is Car Insurance?
Car Insurance (or Auto Insurance), provides financial protection in the event your car is damaged or destroyed in an accident, fire, theft or other events.
What does Car Insurance typically cover?
Required by law, Colorado drivers must have liability insurance, which covers only the other car and/or driver when an accident is caused by you. In the event you fail to have the minimum liability insurance, you will face penalties.
If you lease/finance a car, you will be required to have collision and comprehensive car insurance on the vehicle.
Other Auto Insurance Options
- Collision Coverage helps pay for damage to your vehicle if you are at fault in an accident
- Comprehensive Coverage protects against damage to your vehicle that is not caused by a collision, such as theft, extreme weather, and hitting a deer, and more
- Medical Coverage covers medical expenses for anyone injured in your vehicle during an accident
- Uninsured/Underinsured Motorist to cover damages and medical costs resulting from an accident caused by someone who has no insurance or inadequate insurance coverage.
